The StepJockey system runs regular checks on all climbs registered and automatically alerts us to instances of cheating or gaming.

This does not happen often as most people are honest but on the odd occasion it does happen we do take appropriate action. We do so because cheating or gaming the system directly and unfairly impacts others.

What does 'appropriate action' look like? To be blunt, it is excruciatingly embarrassing - like being caught in the street with your pants down!  It can also be more seriously damaging, causing employers to question the basic honesty of the individual involved.

The best way to avoid your climbs being flagged is to turn your activity tracking data on - that way we can tell if the climb was genuine. You can enable this by navigating your way to your 'Settings' where you will be able to connect and synchronise your phone's health data.
